At your first appointment, we will review your medical and dental history and discuss any specific oral health concerns that you may have. Most patients also request a preventive cleaning as part of this visit. We will take any necessary x-rays to screen for conditions between the teeth and within the bone tissues, as well as conduct a periodontal assessment and oral cancer screening. One of our dentists will perform a comprehensive examination to screen for tooth decay, wear, gum disease, TMJ disorders, and other oral conditions. If treatment is needed, we will review any recommended therapies as well as alternative options with you.
